Interested in artistic exploration and social interaction? Ageless Art for mature adults encourages both! Enjoy coffee, tea and treats as you expand your art-making experience with inspiration from gallery exhibitions. Benefit from professional instruction and artist grade materials in an art studio setting. Visit with your friends and make new ones in our fully accessible Satellite Studio! This creative class is for everyone, beginners to advanced. All materials included. Wear an old shirt – it could get messy!

Creative Workshops for Teens

Love art? Whether you want to pad your portfolio or start from scratch, Art Gallery of St. Albert has creative workshops for teens based on Gallery exhibitions. Come to the Gallery for a brief tour of the current exhibition before walking over to the Satellite Studio with the instructor. ARTernative complements Gallery exhibitions and enriches participants’ understanding of the art on display.


A Gift for the Grandkids: Write & Illustrate a Story from Your Life!

St. Albert Public Library and the Art Gallery of St. Albert present a collaborative two-part workshop for seniors who wish to create a very special gift for their grandchildren. In the first workshop Regional Writer in Residence, Natasha Dean, will guide participants in the creation of stories inspired by personal experiences. A week later, participants will illustrate their stories with instruction and encouragement from an AGSA art instructor. The result? A creative blend of literary and visual arts, as well as a meaningful family keepsake.
